Setup TrueVault CMP Template
The TrueVault Polaris CMP template sends the visitor's consent state to Google Tag Manager (GTM). Complete this step before you assign consent requirements to individual tags.
Before you begin, confirm that your organization's polaris.js code is installed on every page and loads before GTM. See Getting Started for instructions.
1. Add the TrueVault Polaris CMP template
In Google Tag Manager:
- Select Templates in the left navigation.
- In Tag Templates, select Search Gallery.
- Search for TrueVault Polaris CMP.
- Select the template, click Add to workspace, and confirm.
2. Create the TrueVault Polaris CMP tag
- Select Tags in the left navigation.
- Click New, then click Tag Configuration.
- Under Custom, select TrueVault Polaris CMP.
- Click Triggering.
- Select Consent Initialization - All Pages.
- Name and save the tag.
Using the Consent Initialization trigger ensures that GTM receives the consent state before it evaluates tags on the page.
